It was just Kris and me tonight. For some reason I felt slumpy again, which led to a bunch of (1) chicken scratch and (2) half-poopy doodles. As I've been scanning in these drawings and updating from Joe's 'pooter, I'm realizing what a spoiled brat I am at home. Working on a P166 with a 28.8 connection has been rather humbling. If you guys are lucky, it'll lead to some nice lo-res improvements on the page when I get back.

The plane-trip to Hawaii was great. I had an entire window row to myself, which made the whole deal pretty comfortable. I read 3 of the 4 Nausicaa books, which I've been dying to get to for awhile. Now I'm just hanging with my buddies (Joe and Kris) and drawing. Unfortunately, I've ran right into a slump... All I could do was try to doodle it out of me, and I concentrated on (3) drawings of women for the hell of it. Here's the bunch:

Good news and bad news this week. I gave the impression to some of you that I'm in Hawaii right now, but the trip starts this friday. I finally got my hard drive in, and between getting my computer up and running (done!) and prepping for the vacation, I haven't had much time for drawing. Which is the reason behind this (1) chicken scratch. Enjoy the mess, I'll be staying with Joe and updating from Hawaii next week (even if I'm not drawing). Nya!

Whew. Sorry about the rough week. I'm still extremely bogged with work and my new computer's still busted to hell, but I'm hoping that everything will be wonderful by the weekend. This is good, because I leave for Hawaii next Friday to attend a wedding and I want to have things in order before I say "hi" to my friends. I might do a lot of drawing down there, so you can still look out for updates and make pretend you're on vacation with me. I didn't have much time for doodling tonight, but I was happy with the girl I put in the thumbnail here. Whelp, it's time to start answering email! I'm pretty backed up, so please be patient with me. I'll get to every one of them.

I've done some sketches at my desk as quick breaks from the work I've been taking home. The first pic is just some goofy doodling (you can see some fix-the-computer notes on it), and the second pic is fanart stuff for L0cke's online comic, RIDE. He's extremely talented, and deserves more attention than he's already getting. Go check his book out.

Here's the stuff from two weeks ago that were done in the height of my computer problems. The first pic is a beaver shot (psycho-beaver, that is), the second pic is uh ...let me get this out of the way... I've always had problems drawing Superman and Batman. It's like the more classic the character and less trendy the costume is, the harder it is for me to make it look right. There. That said, here's my (bad) Superman, (ok) Batman, and Spidey. Boooo... Last up is a bunch of nekkid guys hanging around a female pecker patroller. That sounds wayyy dirtier than I would ever actually draw it.

I made a pretty nice variety of pics tonight. (1) The first stuff I did turned out pretty clean and "nice". I like the helmet design on the naked girl. The second pic started out well, but I botched it up with a doodled-in background. Maybe if someone's really lucky, they might actually be able to figure out what's going on it... The last pic was a slammed together picture of (3) a couple of deformed misfits. This is the weird kind of crap that can come out of rushing "art". Pretty fun stuff.
