I did this doodle while I was sitting around in the living room. Lame, but there, so now it's here.

This stuff is usual Tuesday night fare... (1) a girl being swung around by her shirt (I kinda like this pic), (2) Joe Blow sitting down (no offense to any real Joe Blows out there) and (3) a little critter that's happier than you are (I have nothing to put in parenthesis here (whoops (double-whoops (etc)))).

Before finishing (3) commission #2, I did my usual drawing night at Barnes & Noble. First up is a girl and her infatuated little friend. Second is a guy lying on god knows what, scratching his foot and speaking garble. The last pic (3) is the finished commission for Mr. Rieckhof. I had most of the details for both characters in, so I just topped off the drawing. Overall, I'm happy with the work. For some reason, the dark haired character came out cartoony in both commissions, but I'm fine with that (I would have thrown a fit trying to fix it, otherwise).
I feel it's worthwhile mentioning that I spent a heinous amount of time doing miscellaneous things at home (often for work) before I got to these commissions, which is why I've been turning down work via email. Until I can get my time a bit steadier for folks, I can't accept work. I think it was three or four months before I got to these for Hart. (Much thanks to him for waiting patiently.) I hope he likes them.

The theme for commission #2 was "Hong Kong action" with the sexy females I designed, but I have no idea what Hong Kong action is other than wire fighting and cool poses. I hope Hart forgives me, cause he'll be seeing these the same time you guys are. I had a hard time nailing down a pose for the thing! Here's some tryouts: (1) a quick pose and (in the lower right corner) "squiggly-line" figure (I find squigglies help me come up with interesting poses sometimes), (2) a booby-shot that I gave up on quickly, and (3) another quick pose.
At this point, I decided I liked the general layout of pic three, but I wanted to show both character's fronts somehow (boobs!), so I tried (4) a twisted up shot on the computer that I could also layout in 2x3, since I was doing these on printer paper. I liked the idea, so I started laying it down in pencil, masked-lady first. When I got to the plain swordswoman, it was late and I was having a hell of a time with her face. I tried doing (5-6) faces on two other sheets of paper, and after doing the face in pic six, I decided I'd pick it up later, and I went to bed.

Today I've got the progression of commission #1 for Hart Rieckhof. He asked for a couple sexy ladies of my design in some kind of dramatic pose. I felt comfortable with that, so I just dove into (3) the final drawing, doing the girl with plain clothes and a sword and ankley thingies from my last drawing update (in ripose). After she was finished, I had to figure out what the second character would be. Here is (1) my first shot at her, along with (2) her final design and the pose that I was pretty much looking for. Good enough for me, so I just finished off (3) the commission.

Well whaddaya know? Not drawing as much at work has helped the Tuesday night drawings bloom again! Nothing that different from the usual fare, but all nice and pretty how I like it. First up is a guy shedding some tears for my old updates (and his hairdo), second features a girl with very long legs, and last up is some chicks meant for kickin' ass and being nekkid. Peace-out.
