(29-Sept-99) I tried (1) putting characters in a "real" environment tonight. It was fun and it turned out alright, but I obviously need to work on how I render scenery... the picture is of 5 kids that found a sword in a storm drain. I felt weary by pic two and only doodled on it, but overall, I'd say it was a good night of drawing.

(21-Sept-99) (1) The drawings started out fine, but I wasn't really feeling it tonight. I think my only saving grace was in the next pic -- (2) the weirdo I've featured in thumbnail two.

(20-Sept-99) Today is the first day in a (deserved) week-long vacation, and I did a little drawing to celebrate. The first picture is of some candy thieves (and another decodable costume (!)) and the second pic is a quick scribble I did right before we took off from the B&N cafe. I'll probably still go drawing tomorrow, so I'll be sure to update when I do.

(14-Sept-99) The drawings I did tonight are nice, but I was disappointed by my lack of enthusiasm for them. I want to be thrilled about what I'm doing, but I think I need to change my focus a bit to get there. We'll see what happens... First up is some zippy voltage fun and a femme fatale with a toe-wielded axe. Next is (2) a bunch of test sketches. I still have some residual anxiety over certain angles of the female body.

(07-Sept-99) Drawing tonight was going well until I completed the sketch in the lower left of pic one. I was frustrated over the difficulty I had drawing a woman's neck from beneath the head, which is why page two looks so rough (from trying to track down the source of my problem). Luckily I calmed down and got back into some cleaner stuff by page three. Yay.

(03-Sept-99) I tried to get back to some full blown doodling tonight and just relax a bit while drawing. For some poopy reason, knowing that my stuff will be published on the web has caused my drawings to be less experimental than I like them. Anyways... first up tonight is a nice doodle page. I love the guy grabbing his face of overwhelming glee. There are more doodles on the second page, including a coveted bag of... uh... stuff.
